The “sevens” version being contested in Rio features 12 teams, including traditional rugby powers New Zealand, Fiji and South Africa. The United States, led by Zack Test, Perry Baker and Carlin Isles, opens against Argentina.
• Basketball - Brazil faces a truly tall task against Spain, led by NBA big men Marc and Pau Gasol. The host nation hasn't earned a men’s basketball medal in five decades, most recently finishing fifth in 2012. Spain, meanwhile, has been runner-up to Team USA at the past two Olympics.
• Soccer – Germany vs. Canada: Live coverage of women’s soccer features two of the world’s best teams as Germany faces Canada, the 2012 bronze medalist, in
a Group F women's prelim. U.S. vs. Colombia: The United States women's soccer team concludes Group G prelim play against Colombia at Amazonia Arena in Manaus. Carli Lloyd and company defeated Colombia by a combined score of 10-0 in two matches this year, and are attempting to bring the U.S. its fourth straight Olympic gold.
• Archery - Archers Brady Ellison and Jake Kaminski – silver medalists in the men’s team event in London – represent the U.S. in early rounds of individual competition.
• Volleyball - Canada faces traditional power Brazil, runner-up at the 2012 and 2008 Olympics after winning gold in 2004.
USA HIGHLIGHTS:
• Equestrian - Equestrian’s team eventing competition concludes with the jumping final, as Germany targets a third consecutive gold and the U.S. seeks a return to the podium after back-to-back bronze medal showings in 2000 and 2004. Equestrian’s individual eventing competition concludes with the jumping final, where two-time gold medalist Phillip Dutton, a native of Australia representing the United States for a third time and competing at his sixth Olympics, is among the contenders.

• Rugby - Men’s rugby pool-round matches include Zack Test-led Team USA vs. Brazil and Fiji vs. Argentina.
