Posted

Table Tennis may be one of the most quickly paced events in Olympic competition, and the 2016 summer games in Rio have featured some of the best teams in the world.

The Chinese table tennis team is ranked number in the world and has dominated the sport, winning 24 of the 28 gold medals since the event entered the games in 1988.

In addition, both Ding Ning and Ma Long of China won the women's and men's individual gold medal tournament.

Now, both the Chinese men and women's teams have a chance to reclaim gold in the doubles competition and continue their complete dominance within the sport.

Team USA was led by 16-year-old Kanak Jha, of Milpitas, CA. Jha is the youngest player ever to make the USA table tennis team and is the first 2000’s born athlete to qualify and represent the U.S.
