Okla. Olympians: Shannon Miller's collection of medals is heaviest of OK Olympians

Though she may be short in stature, one Olympian’s collection of medals is the heaviest of any athlete from the state of Oklahoma.

Shannon Miller stands at 5-foot-1 and weighs eighty five pounds. Overall, she has won seven medals in her life: two gold, two silver and three bronze in Womens’ Gymnastics.

 

In 1992 in Barcelona and in 1996 in Atlanta, Miller was the veteran of the 1996 Magnificent Seven for American Womens’ gymnastic team, as she led her team to the gold medal run.

Miller recently won the biggest battle of her life: beating ovarian cancer in 2011.
