The Tulsa Oilers lost more than a hockey match Saturday night.
Three Oilers have been suspended and the team racked up 109 penalty minutes as a result of a huge melee to end their game against the Rapid City Rush. In all, 216 penalty minutes were issued.
Mathieu Gagnon received an eight-game suspension. Goalie Kevin Carr was suspended for three games. Emerson Clark will sit one game.
The players will begin their suspensions beginning with Tuesday night's home game against the Missouri Mavericks.
Two Rush players were suspended, both for five games each.
The fight began with 27 seconds remaining in the match with multiple players going at each other.
The first fight begins about 1:50 into the video below, with the brawl following. At one point the announcer says the fight is ongoing as the theme to the movie Rocky is playing in the arena. Fitting.
