TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Odyssey Sims had 27 points and seven rebounds, and the Tulsa Shock beat the San Antonio Stars 74-64 on Tuesday night to clinch the Western Conference's third seed.
Tulsa trailed 51-49 after three quarters but Tiffany Jackson-Jones' three-point play, followed by Theresa Plaisance's 3-pointer gave the Shock a 55-51 lead. San Antonio only made one field goal in the first 5 minutes of the fourth and Sims' layup with 4:20 remaining gave Tulsa a 10-point lead.
Sims was 11 of 23 from the field and 5 of 7 on free throws for Tulsa (17-15), which has won seven of its last eight.
Jia Perkins scored 24 points for San Antonio (7-26). The Stars have lost 10 in a row and 14 of 15.
San Antonio is 0-16 on the road and closes its season at Seattle on Sunday. The 1998 Washington Mystics are the only team in league history to go winless away from home.
