TULSA - A Tulsa Police Department spokesperson says an investigation into a possible stabbing in east Tulsa about noon Friday isn't adding up.

The TPD received a call about a reported stabbing at Cimarron Apartments at 31st Court and 129th E. Ave. Officers say a woman left her boyfriend in an apartment to walk the dog. The boyfriend reported that when she returned, he saw a stab wound to the chest of his girlfriend, according to police.

Police say the woman reported she had been assaulted in a parking lot near their apartment, but when officers went to investigate, they found no blood in the parking lot nor a blood trail to the apartment.

A woman was transported to St. Francis Hospital in "emergent" condition, meaning serious or critical, according to EMSA.

The investigation into this report would be continued, police say, until the facts can be sorted out.
