Big Al's Rant with Cayden McFarland: What are Sooners', Cowboys' chances of getting into playoff?

TULSA - Let the madness begin.

Wait. That's basketball.

Let the chaos begin. As in college football playoff positioning CHAOS.

The Oklahoma Sooners find themselves on the outside looking in, right now. But after last weekend's games in which the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 teams were all beaten, OU's chances got a little bit better. OU is No. 9 this week with it's huge road trip to West Virginia Saturday to face the No. 14 Mountaineers.

Oklahoma State's chances also improved after last Saturday. Remember, the Cowboys are only a controversial-shouldn't-have-been-called-a-loss away from being 9-1 and presumably, in the top 10 of the rankings with the Sooners. The Pokes have a slight chance, also, as they sit at No. 11 in the rankings. They travel to Fort Worth to take on TCU this weekend.

Both state schools have to win out to really get themselves deeper into the playoff picture conversation. However, the Bedlam matchup on Dec. 3 will definitely end one teams' hopes.

Big Al and Cayden McFarland broke down the Sooners' and Cowboys' chances during halftime of the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers game on NBC. Missed it? Watch the show in the video player above.
