— Not everyone is willing to let go of "Deflategate." Some, willing to put science behind their theory that New England Patriots' Tom Brady cheated.

Ten-year-old Ace Davis, of Kentucky, based his recent science fair project on the controversial scandal, conducting experiments to prove the NFL quarterback was involved in the deflated football controversy that surrounded his team's 2015 AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts, ABC-affiliate WJLA reports.

Davis' project measured the distance footballs with different levels of inflation traveled. The project found that footballs thrown with less air traveled at a greater distance than those footballs which were more inflated, according WJLA and photos of the project posted by Davis' father on Facebook.

The boy's father accompanied the post with the caption: "Hater level: 100."

According to the Washington Post , Davis' project was enough to win him honorable mention and advance to his school district's competition.

NFL fans will remember the controversy over the game, which accused Brady of using under inflated footballs during the championship game. Brady denied having any knowledge about the condition of the footballs.

The scandal resulted in a lengthy legal fight ending with a four-game suspension for Brady and $1 million fine and loss of two draft picks for the team.

The Patriots face the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta next month.
