Oklahoma Sooners tight end Grant Calcaterra has announced that, due to multiple sustained concussions, he is retiring from football.
Calcaterra suffered a concussion during practice in early October and was unable to return to the team. The senior played in just three games this season and will leave OU with 41 total receptions, 637 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns. In a video posted to his twitter, Calcaterra said he plans to become a firefighter in Southern California after he graduates.
