At least three people have been shot in northern France when a gunman opened fire at a metro stop.

The attack occurred in Lille, a city near the French and Belgium border in the northeast portion of the country.

A local newspaper report indicate a 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg, and a second person was shot in the neck.

The shooter is still on the loose. The motive for the attack is not yet known.
