TULSA - A local group called "Women in Transition" is hosting two events Thursday to inspire women of any age or walk of life to go to college.
The event will provide information on financial aid, host recruiters from local schools, give out scholarships and even provide mentors.
"We are all women who have benefited from going to school at a nontraditional time. Many of us are teachers or professors, and we benefited so much what we want to help other women go to college as well," said "Women in Transition" Events Coordinator Jane Varmecky.
The event is $5 if you register beforehand, and $8 at the door. Register here.
If you can't afford the registration fee, you can request a waiver to get in free. If you don't have time to register, you can just show up ready to learn!
