FLORIDA -- A mother in Florida claims her daughter captured a photo of a child ghost while riding in the car.
According to the Daily Mail, Melissa Kurtz says she and her daughter were on a 45-minute drive when her daughter became bored and began taking selfies.
Kurtz says she later spotted the child in one of the photos, though she says no one was in the car with the two.
After doing some research, Kurtz discovered that the appearance of the alleged ghost coincided with the anniversary of a fatal accident along the road.
"Where the picture was taken there was an automobile accident one year ago exactly. When I looked into it, someone had been medevacked away in a helicopter," Kurtz told the Daily Mail. "However they would not tell me any specific details when I enquired, which leads me to believe that it was a child, as that might be why they couldn’t provide the information."
Kurtz told the Daily Mail that the ghostly figure may have been trying to warn her daughter.
"Harper didn’t have her seatbelt on and one of the investigators who analyzed the photo called Greg Pocha thought [the ghost] could be trying to warn her."
