Local and State emergency officials served as the Grand Marshals of OSU's homecoming.

Organizers say they wanted to honor the men and woman who saved dozens of people. ER Nurse Heidi Gilbert said it's an honor to be chosen and to meet survivors.

"Most of them we've not been able to see since that day a year ago so I'm very excited to see them again and give them a hug and be grateful that they survived this," said Gilbert.

City leaders say around 80,000 people turned out for the parade.
