DALLAS (AP) -- A trauma surgeon at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas who is black says he understands the "anger and frustration and distrust of law enforcement." Dr. Brian H. Williams -- who treated some of the officers shot Thursday -- went on to say that police are not the problem, but instead the lack of discussion about "the impact of race relations."
Five officers died and nine were injured during a protest over recent fatal shootings by police. Williams says not being able to save some of the officers weighs on his mind constantly
