LAS VEGAS, NV. – A man being questioned by authorities regarding a homicide investigation was able to escape his handcuffs and surveillance footage captured the entire incident.
KTNV in Las Vegas obtained footage showing the suspect, Alonso Perez, struggling to get free from handcuffs.
Police say Perez, 25, was alone in the detective office interview room when he broke the hinge of the handcuffs.
He still had one cuff around his right wrist when he managed to escape, reports ABC News.
Later on Tuesday, Perez was recaptured by authorities who found him in an apartment just east of Las Vegas.
