TULSA - The city's annual Jingle Bell Run brought more than 1,000 runners downtown to spread some Christmas cheer.

Runners came with their bells on and impressive holiday costumes to run the 5K for arthritis research.

The run benefits the Oklahoma Arthritis Foundation. Before the start of the race it had already raised more than $80,000 to find a cure for the disease.

The race starts at 9 a.m., but events run through the afternoon at the corner of Denver and 3rd downtown.
