TULSA – A local woman’s seemingly small gesture of kindness towards a performer in New York City has become much larger through social media shares.

The article being shared by Slatestarts off with a man sitting in Times Square, getting ready. His stage name is Monet X Change and he can be seen putting on makeup and clothing.

As Monet X Change puts on makeup, starts to contour and uses a mirror amid several tourists and locals, one woman stands out by sitting down next to the star and starting a conversation.

That woman is said to be Tulsa local Jeannine Glover. Glover, according to Slate, starts by asking about the star’s process and day-to-day career. The two become friends as Glover waits for her family.

In the video taken by “Street Beatz,”the pair discusses makeup techniques and bra maneuvers, bonding over the things they have in common rather than focusing on what makes them different.

In the end, Slate reports, Monet X Change invited Glover and her family to come to the show and they all attended that evening.

Later Monet X Change wrote on Facebook, reported Slate, saying “With racial tension at a boiling point in this country, this beautiful white woman comes over with eyes of love and a heart of compassion to just ‘make a friend.’ And now we are bonded for life!”
