Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting in midtown and possible rape.
Captain Brad Clark confirms a woman, who claimed she was raped by her ex-husband, was transported to the hospital to be checked out.
Investigators believe the woman's ex-husband, 50-year-old Eric Thomas (pictured below), abducted her from her home on the 2600 block of Dogwood Avenue in Broken Arrow and sexually assaulted her based on evidence found in the house.
Then, police say Thomas took the victim to her boyfriend's home in Tulsa at the 4900 block of East 22nd Place this morning, and then shot her boyfriend several times. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
During the shooting, the woman got into her ex-husband's pickup truck, drove to Walmart on 21st and Yale and called for help. While she was inside the store, police say Thomas walked to the store and got inside his truck. Captain Clark says Thomas cut his wrists inside the truck before officers arrived.
Thomas was transported to the hospital before being booked at the Tulsa County Jail. EMSA paramedics took the woman to the hospital to be checked out.
The suspect is facing felony complaints of shooting with intent to kill and pointing a deadly weapon. Broken Arrow Police say additional charges could be added once the investigation is over.
