Tulsa city leaders and citizens come together ot help restore peace

TULSA---Tulsa city leaders held a public forum Sunday afternoon  to hear what local leaders had to say about restoring peace in the Tulsa community. 
Several leaders said more programs for kids, community policing and police transparency are all needed to prevent the killings of innocent people in Tulsa.
Officials said having patience and creating a better understanding of one another is also how can create unity. 
"The policy of this city should be that good people are not afraid to live in Tulsa, and that good people should not be afraid of law enforcement in Tulsa," Tulsa Mayor Elect G.T. Bynum. 
Officials said the forum is the beginning of getting the conversations going. They said the community needs law enforcement and the law enforcement needs the community create change.
