CLAREMORE OKLA. — The symbol of American freedom, the bald eagle, is recovering at the Wild Heart Ranch in Claremore. Three of them, actually.

One of the birds arrived there about a week ago. It was caught in Wagoner County and taken to the Tulsa Zoo for a checkup. That is where they discovered its left eye was injured.

After two days, the eye was better. There was no need for surgery.

The eagle will be released Friday.

The Wild Heart Ranch takes in anything born out in the wild, to rehab wounded animals, and release them back into the wild.
