Temporary tattoos are commonly used for birthday parties and as accessories but what about using them in place of Siri?

Well, according to CNN, researchers at MIT and Microsoft developers have created three classes of “smart tattoos” that will enable someone to use the temporary designs to control certain elements of technology and possibly emotion.

CNN reports that the first class uses input devices that turn your skin into a track pad. Cindy Hsin-Liu Kao with MIT Media Lab says this device is used to adjust music.

The second class is an output device, reports CNN. The color of the tattoo would change depending on factors such as body temperature or emotion.

Last, but not least, is the class linked to a communication device. This class uses techniques, such as tags, to read data directly from your skin.
