TULSA - A man is behind bars after officers said he led them on a chase through north Tulsa.
Police responded to a call near Utica and Admiral where Eric Baker, 29, attempted to stop but then took off leading officers on a short chase. Baker then drove off the highway and into some trees on I-244 between Harvard and Yale.
The pursuit didn't end there. Baker got out of the car and ran from police.
Officers set up a perimeter and tracked him down on a porch about 100 yards from the car. They said Baker tried running away again, but a police K-9 caught up to him.
Police said Baker was taken to the hospital after the K-9 bit him. He will be booked into Tulsa County Jail later this morning.
He was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding police, failure to stop at a red light, resisting arrest and more offenses.
