Another mile marker was reached Tuesday in a drive to highlight Tulsa's Route 66 history.
Tulsa's historic Route 66 Commission named their panel members at a meeting on Tuesday. The project has been in the works for 13 years.
"To make sure that Tulsa does a much better job of integrating Route 66 into the marketing of our city and give people a reason to come visit Oklahoma and come visit Tulsa when they're looking to have a Route 66 experience."
The commission also released a rendering of what officials want the Route 66 Experience will look like. The ground breaking experience is expected to take place in May of 2017.
