OKLAHOMA CITY – Not long after the unexpected death of his wife, the Thunder assistant coach announced he will not return this season.

A statement regarding Monty Williams was sent Friday explaining that he plans to take a break from assistant coaching following the loss of his wife, Ingrid, in a car wreck.
Williams' wife died February 10 from injuries sustained in an accident in Oklahoma City after her car was struck head-on by a SUV that crossed the center line after losing control. The other driver also died.
