HASKELL, Okla. – School officials confirmed Friday that an employee used tape in disciplining a student recently.

According to the superintendent of Haskell Public Schools, an employee placed Scotch tape from a student’s nose to their bottom lip as punishment.

The Supt. says they interviewed witnesses or those involved in the situation for more clarification. While no student was injured in the incident, the employee who committed the act was disciplined.

Haskell Public Schools said, “This conduct was inappropriate and will not be repeated.”

Due to privacy concerns, the names of the student and the employee were not released.
