The National Weather Service has determined the rating of the Stillwater tornado that touched down Monday evening.

The video in the player above is footage of it. The storm chasers were two miles west of Highway 177 north of Stillwater as they raced along dirt roads trying to catch up to the twister.

They were rolling on it as it lost intensity, roped out and disappeared into the sky.

Earlier Wednesday, the NWS upgraded the tornado that hit near Katie, Oklahoma Monday to an EF4. It had preliminarily been rated as EF3.
