State Board of Education approves around $38M in budget cuts

OKLAHOMA CITY – Around $38 million in budget cuts were approved by the State Board of Education on Friday.

Most of the mandated cuts targeted the Support of Public School Activities,says Oklahoma City’s KFOR.

The programs affected by the aforementioned cuts range from professional development and STEM education initiatives, KFOR says.

Overall, funding was eliminated for 11 programs and funding was reduced for 13 others.
