OSBI: OK sees uptick in murder rate from '14-'15

Posted

In just the span of one year, the murder rate grew exponentially in Oklahoma, according to the OSBI.

They say from 2014 to 2015 the number of murders increased by 35.4 percent in Oklahoma.

Other violent crimes such as rape, robbery and aggravated assault were tracked by OSBI but none had as dramatic increase as the murder rate.

The full report has not been entirely completed but OSBI says they are currently working on the finishing touches.
