As earthquakes continue to rattle the Sooner State, many Oklahomans have questions.
A hearing with several experts will allow the public to ask questions about earthquakes and wastewater disposal wells.
A public hearing is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 15 beginning at 9 a.m. in State Capitol Room 412- C.

"This is an extremely timely and important hearing," said Oklahoma Rep. Richard Morrissette. "I've received numerous telephone calls, emails and text messages from Oklahomans throughout this state who have expressed opinions about this subject."
The principle speakers will include the following:
- Todd Halihan, a hydrogeology professor at Oklahoma State University
- Scott Poynter, an attorney who represents Oklahomans who have filed personal injury and property damage lawsuits against energy companies for earthquake damage
- Petroleum geologist and former U.S. and international oil and gas operator Bob Jackman
- Johnson Bridgwater, director of the Oklahoma chapter of the Sierra Club.
- Michael Root, a certified petroleum geologist and certified independent professional earth scientist.
- After presentations, members of the audience may express their concerns or ask questions
