OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma City police have arrested a man in the shooting and decapitation of his grandmother and her husband.
Police Sgt. Ashley Peters says officers responding to a request for a welfare check Tuesday found the bodies of 59-year-old Sharon Reed and 78-year-old James Earl Reed in their Oklahoma City home.
Peters said in a news release Wednesday that Sharon Reed's 20-year-old grandson Quinton Dashawn Laster was arrested later that day outside the home on two complaints of first-degree murder.
Police say the couple also operated a daycare at the property and that three children were found unharmed in a garage.
The Associated Press left a message seeking further comment from Peters on Wednesday morning.
