ARAPAHO, Okla. (AP) -- Prosecutors have filed first-degree murder charges against a Texas man accused of killing two motorists while randomly shooting from his truck while driving down a western Oklahoma interstate.
Authorities say Jeremy Doss Hardy of Pasadena, Texas, surrendered about an hour after reports emerged late Wednesday of a driver firing at vehicles along Interstate 40, west of Oklahoma City.

A man was killed in the Caddo County town of Hydro, and a woman was fatally shot about 10 miles away in Weatherford.
Hardy was initially jailed on a complaint of driving under the influence. The Oklahoman newspaper and KOCO-TV report that the murder charges were added Monday. Authorities say the shootings appeared to be random.
Hardy's father, Robert Hardy, told The Oklahoman on Thursday, that the reports seemed out of character for his son. He suggested authorities were mistaken.
