POTEAU, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma murder trial of an Arkansas man charged in a 2010 slaying has been delayed.

Elvis Thacker is charged in the death of 22-year-old Briana Ault. His trial was set to begin Monday in eastern Oklahoma but a judge delayed it until April 4 so attorneys would have more time to interview a new witness.

Thacker's younger brother, Johnathen Thacker, pleaded guilty in 2014 to first-degree murder in the case and agreed to testify against Elvis Thacker.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Elvis Thacker.

Ault was found dead in September 2010 in a pond in Pocola. Both brothers are now serving time in Arkansas after pleading guilty to attempted capital murder in the stabbing an Arkansas detective who was trying to interview them in another case.
