Legislation to allow residents to take part in reducing the number of feral hogs in Oklahoma is one step closer to becoming a law.

On Thursday, the Senate approved a bill to allow hunting the hogs day or night if the hunter has permission from the landowner.

Under the measure, a license will no longer be required. Currently, the bill is headed to Governor Mary Fallin’s desk to be signed.
