A federal court ruled to move the civil suit against University of Oklahoma running back, Joe Mixon, from San Francisco to Oklahoma City on Thursday, reports OKC’s KFOR.
Mixon’s attorney said the judge rejected the plaintiff’s argument that Oklahomans would be too biased in Mixon’s favor to serve as good jurors.
The civil suit revolves around the 2014 incident where a woman, Amelia Moliter, and Joe Mixon reportedly got into a fight near campus at OU, reports KFOR. Surveillance cameras show Molitor pushing Mixon before she was punched in the face.
Now, Moliter is seeking more than $70,000 in the civil suit filed this summer.
