LEONARD, Okla. - Eddie Blackcloud Sr. says he's in Green Country to spread his message that oil piplelines are threatening the future of the planet.
“Mother earth is going to die. Maybe we can slow it down so that our children can have a fighting chance," he said.
He travels around the country helping people who want to start movements similar to the one at Standing Rock against Dakota Access Pipeline.
"What did we do in Standing Rock? We opened the gate."
A cultural camp has been setup locally, but its inhibitors aren't ready to spread their message. However, they emphasize their message is separate from Blackcloud's.
