The Scripps Green Country Regional Spelling Bee champion has been assigned her speller number for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May. No doubt she knows how to spell two-hundred-ninety.
Edith beat out nearly 50 other students and spelled 37 words correctly to make history on March 4. The 5-year-old will become the youngest person ever to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
