Nisei?

For the uninitiated, a nisei is a child of Japanese immigrant parents who is born and educated in the United States. It's also an incredibly difficult word to try to spell.

Our 2 Works for You team of Will Dupree, Ashley Holt, Taft Price and Katie Wisely gave it their best shot, to no avail. You can watch their humorous attempts in the short video above.

Nisei is one of the many word options for the students participating in the Scripps Green Country Regional Spelling Bee at Oral Roberts University's Global Learning Center March 4. The winner of our Bee gets a spot in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May.

Our team members also tried to spell the words kohlrabi, psephite, crescive and most of them failed miserably.
