CLAREMORE, Okla. – The 2 Works for You Problem Solvers help a man with a broken dryer and an unhonored warranty.
Gregory Hendrix bought his dryer last year from Hahn Appliances. But he said, “Approximately one month after that, the heater stopped working. It would turn but it wouldn't do anything."
Hahn had a maintenance technician sent out to fix it, but a few months later, the dryer wouldn't heat again.
Hendrix said, “What Hahn did then is they passed the ball and said, 'Don't talk to us. It's not our deal anymore.'"
Hahn said Hendrix needed to talk to Safeware, the warranty company, and a third-party service company. That's when the back and forth went on for months.
Hendrix said, "I got clothes hung up all throughout the house. I'd hang them up in my bathroom to dry. I was hanging them up in the kitchen over chairs . . . I paid for a service, and I didn't get the service right away."
That's when he reached out to the Problem Solvers. And we immediately contacted Hahn appliances.
Within minutes, Hendrix got a phone call.
He said, "I knew that channel 2 had reached out . . . The same customer service manager immediately called me up and said, 'Since we can't timely fix and get the part out there, we're going to pass the work off to Safeware and our underwriters and we're going to give you a new dryer."
Now, Hendrix can finally have some peace of mind with a new washer on the way.
He added, "I’m relieved and I appreciate it. I appreciate your help."
