MCALESTER, Okla. – On the same day as the second presidential debate, one Oklahoma news source made it publicly known that they endorse Hillary Clinton.
The McAlester News-Capitol posted saying that “We consider this presidential election perhaps the most important presidential election in American history given what’s at stake, and after reviewing the policy positions of both candidates, we believe Clinton is the obvious choice for our vote.”
After the endorsement, the paper went on to explain its reasoning behind backing Clinton.
According to the paper, Clinton “is the one candidate who presents the opportunity for steady, reliable leadership abroad and here at home.” While Trump’s policy proposals in contrast represents a “dark, dangerous direction for the nation if implemented.”
The paper goes on to says that Clinton has flaws as well but that they still consider her as the best choice for president in November.
