BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- Police have released the name of woman who was killed in a suspected five-vehicle DUI crash on Tuesday.
A statement says Vivian Louise McGuire, 71, of Tulsa, died as a result of the head-on crash, which took place about 5:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Aspen (145th E. Ave.) between Albany and Kenosha in Broken Arrow.
Records show the driver of the other vehicle, 59-year-old Isiah Eugene Keys Jr., a convicted felon from Broken Arrow, was arrested at the scene. He faces charges of first-degree manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs. Keys was southbound and reportedly crossed into oncoming traffic, striking McGuire’s vehicle.
Police say there were a total of five vehicles involved in the collision. No other injuries were reported.
Records show Keys was convicted in a 1989 felony case. He was charged initially with shooting with intent to kill, but after pleading no contest, it was amended to feloniously pointing a weapon. Keys was sentenced to two years in prison.
