TULSA - The Oral Roberts University Sports Management Degree Program students left for Houston, Texas, Wednesday to help run the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
Fifteen students, with a hunger for experience and little knowledge of what was ahead, packed up into two vans for 10 days of hands-on experience in the sports field.
Senior Aaron Young said he's excited for the trip to possibly show him what he can do with his degree after graduating.
Their instructor Terry Shannon said the trip will give them a chance to get their hands dirty.
The AAU Jr. Olympic Games will host track and field, swimming, tumbling and other events.
The group returns from the trip on August 6.
