Oral Roberts University students crowded the campus quadrangle as dogs of all sizes and breeds were on display to kick off the annual "Puppy Palooza."
Thanks to the Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Abused Animals, students enjoyed spending time with dogs in order to relieve potential stress before the start of final exams.
ORU Junior and student body President, Emily Bishop, says many of her fellow classmates were looking forward to the campus wide event.
"Everyone loves it, look at the amount of people here. I mean it's really cool to see students just come to hang out and not having anything serious," Bishop said.
The SPCA began hosting the event years ago after an area school requested the organization to allow students to visit with animals prior to finals week.
Volunteer Manager, Dani Adams, says although the event is organized for students, the animals benefit as well.
"It get's them socialization. It gets them out for the runs in the afternoon and it's great for the students to kind of help them de-stress before finals," Adams said.
