According to Tulsa County District Attorney, Steve Kunzweiler, Bever's defense team brought in documents they believe will support their case. The DA said any evidence approved by the judge in the discovery hearing will be used in Bever's upcoming trial.

"We’ve got another review date, or status date set for May 22nd just to make sure that we’re all set in case we do go to trial, we’re ready to move forward," said Kunzweiler.

His older brother, Robert, pleaded guilty in September and is currently serving life in prison. The defendants might seek an insanity defense for Michael.
