Old Navy fans came to the rescue against racism after inappropriate comments were directed at a recent advertisement.

The clothing retail company posted a picture of an interracial family to promote an upcoming sale, never considering that some would respond negatively.

According to Huffington Post, there were rude comments such as “This miscegenation junk is rammed down our throats every direction,” wrote one Twitter user. “Interracial couples are a fraction of US marriages. Who is the target demo,” wrote another.

Harsh and racist comments were thrown at the ad, according to Jezebel.com, but not long after the rude remarks started, people started sticking up for the family.

Several tweets were sent to the company highlighting interracial families all over the nation. Many thanked the company using #lovewins to support the advertisement.

When asked for comment, the clothing company simply said they do not care about the negativity towards the ad.

“We are a brand with a proud history of championing diversity and inclusion,” Old Navy spokeswoman Debbie Felix told The Huffington Post Monday. “At Old Navy, everyone is welcome.”

The father portrayed in the picture posted to Instagram, thanking customers for their support and kind words.
