Noodles & Company issues apology after Virginia police ofc. claims she was refused service

The company known for its noodles is now apologizing for allegedly refusing to serve a police officer in Virginia.

USA Today reports that Noodles & Company issued an apology after a police officer claimed an employee refused to take her order. 

The officer in Alexandria, Virginia told USA Today she was waiting to place her order when a cook went to the cashier and said “I’m not cooking for that one.”

The Local 5 vice president for the International Union of Police Associations met with the Noodles & Companymanager, says USA Today, and received an apology.

The Washington Post reported that the company issued a statement saying the restaurant is “working with the appropriate authorities and local police association representatives to get to the bottom of, and resolve this matter as quickly as possible.”

The manager told WUSA that the Noodles & Company promised to post a sign that states “We Support Blue Lives,” Feltham said.

Noodles & Company is currently in the process of opening a storefront on 15th and Peoria in Tulsa on Cherry Street.
