A new beer is making its way to Oklahoma, but its location may surprise you.
A brewery is just one of the new additions coming to the Osage Casino this fall.
It will have 141 hotel rooms and 1569 new games, and a quarter of a million square feet of casino floor.
“This place changes every day I come in here.”
Construction for the new Osage Casino and Hotel began back in the fall of 2016 but it’s a product that Chief Executive Officer Byron Bighorse said has been in the works for years.
“When you come in here you're going to feel like this is one congruent place, one continuous floor,” Bighorse said.
It is also going to the be the home of their new 4,000 square foot brewery.
“We will brew our own beer here. We have distribution rights for Nine Band for the entire state so hopefully, you'll see it in QT, Costco, Walmart, everywhere,” said Bighorse.
Bighorse said the craft beer would set them apart from others in the area and bring more people their brick-and-mortar gaming systems.
“That was kind of a key element for me, to kind of offer something for a younger crowd to come and check us out,” Bighorse said.
With a larger casino comes more jobs, and Bighorse said the 200 additional jobs will be a big boost for Tulsa's economy.
The casino and hotel will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 29, and the opening of their event center set to open early next year.
