It was all about Kendrick Lamar during Monday night’s Grammy Awards, with the rapper picking up a total of five wins in just the show’s first hour.

We won’t downplay the significance of Lamar’s night; five wins is a lot, especially in just one show. With seven Grammy Awards in total, the other of which he earned in 2015, the 28-year-old still has a ways to go before placing himself amongst the top Grammy winners of all time.

Take the late conductor George Solti, for example, who has a stunning 31 Grammy Awards under his belt. Solti, best known for his work with opera companies in Munich, Frankfurt and London, earned his last win was in 1997, for Best Opera Recording for Wagner: Die Meistersinger Von Nurnberg.

Solti is the record holder, followed by record producer Quincy Jones and singer Alison Krauss in second, with 27 awards.

In fact, there are several artists out there with well over 15 Grammy Awards, and some of them aren’t even household names.
