HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Musician Uncle Kracker was able to successfully deflate tensions during a dispute between patrons and bouncers at a Michigan bar in September.

Uncle Kracker, whose real name is Matthew Shafer, inserted himself into a situation at Bumpers Landing Bar, a popular waterfront bar located north of Detroit.

“He really stepped in to prevent tragedy, actually getting in the middle to keep everyone safe. If he was here, I’d shake his hand and say thank you,” prosecutor Eric Smith said.

After patrons left the bar, things appeared to get heated again outside.

“Yet again, the singer positioned himself between the bouncer and his friends. He calmly diffused the situation and eventually got a hug before leaving,” Smith said.

The prosecutor tells us no one will face charges with any crimes relating to the incident.

Representatives for Uncle Kracker nor the bar responded to a request fro comment.
