OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The White House Coronavirus Task Force says Oklahoma is among the worst in the nation for the number of positive coronavirus tests per 100,000 people.
The federal report dated Sept. 27 also says Oklahoma is one of the worst for the number of new reported cases and is in the red zone for cases.
Gov. Kevin Stitt disputes the assessment, saying Oklahoma is faring better according to data released by Johns Hopkins University.
The state health department says the number of reported coronavirus cases in Oklahoma increased by 980 on Wednesday and there were 13 additional deaths due to COVID-19.
