Officials say a Southwest airlines plane skidded off a runway at Nashville International Airport, injuring eight people.
Flight 31 from Houston Hobby Airport to Nashville "exited the taxiway shortly after arriving into Nashville, as the airplane was approaching the arrival gate," according to a statement released by the company.
There were 133 passengers and five crew members aboard the plane. They were evacuated safely and bused to the airport. The eight injured passengers were transported to a local hospital, according to the statement. Three were evaluated and released.
